Janelle Butler is a graduate of Winthrop University with a Masters of Counseling (MEd). She has been a school counselor for 12 years and currently serves as a School Counselor at Longleaf Middle School where she devotes her time to helping children C.O.P.E (Climb Over Problems Everyday). Mrs. Butler has used her gifts and talents to aid in the mission of becoming a premier district by way of facilitating professional development, advising and creating school organizations, as well as providing mentoring and supervision for new and upcoming counselors. Mrs. Butler is an active member of ASCA, SCEA, as well as PSSCA. She is also currently pursuing her National Board certification. Outside of her professional school pursuits, Mrs. Butler utilizes her other talents through mothering her two children, Dallas and Charlee Butler, being a wife to pastor and teacher, CJ Butler, and through running her personal business as founder of The Butler Bakery. Janelle Butler is a woman who wears many hats and always remembers (in the words of her mother) her head is more than a hat rack.
