Ludlam Named Middle School Counselor of the Year

The Palmetto State School Counselor Association is pleased to announce our 2021 Middle School South Carolina Counselor of the Year, Brandy Ludlam

Mrs. Ludlam currently serves as Director of School Counseling at Carolina Springs Middle School in Lexington School District One.  A current RAMP recipient, Mrs. Ludlam, “mak(es) a positive difference in the lives of our students, their parents, and in the community through leadership, collaboration, and management of the program,” states Dr. Brice Cockfield, Principal of Carolina Springs Middle School. She also currently serves on the governing board of the Palmetto State School Counselor Association. 

The purpose of the School Counselor of the Year Award is to recognize persons who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to school counseling and have had an impact on the profession and their students at the local, state, or national level. 

The Palmetto State School Counselor Association (PSSCA) is a statewide nonprofit organization. PSSCA helps advance the profession of school counseling by assisting South Carolina school counselors with guiding their students toward academic achievement, career planning and social/emotional development in order to help today’s students become tomorrow’s productive, contributing members of society.
