Ellison Name School Counselor of the Year

The Palmetto State School Counselor Association is pleased to announce our 2021 High School and Overall School Counselor of the Year, Elesha Ellison

Ms. Ellison currently serves as the Lead School Counselor at Silver Bluff High School in Aiken County. Sharon Worley, Aiken County Public Schools’ coordinator for counseling and career services states that Ellison is, “the epitome of what we should all aspire to be as professional school counselors.”  Ellison will go on to represent the state for the ASCA School Counselor of the Year. 

The purpose of the School Counselor of the Year Award is to recognize persons who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to school counseling and have had an impact on the profession and their students at the local, state, or national level. 

The Palmetto State School Counselor Association (PSSCA) is a statewide nonprofit organization. PSSCA helps advance the profession of school counseling by assisting South Carolina school counselors with guiding their students toward academic achievement, career planning and social/emotional development in order to help today’s students become tomorrow’s productive, contributing members of society.
