My name is Geraldine “Geri” Henderson.  I am humbled and honored to serve on the Board of Directors for Palmetto State School Counselor Association (PSSCA). 

During my twenty-one years as a professional school counselor, I have worked at a career center, an alternative program, and several high schools.  In addition, I was the Director of School Counseling in Beaufort County School District for eight years.  Currently, I work as the Crisis Prevention Coordinator for Beaufort County School District (BCSD).  I am also a Global Career Development Facilitator Instructor.  I am an active and engaged alumnus of the Citadel where I have been instrumental in expanding the school counseling program and promoting educational opportunities for educators in BCSD.

I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Cambridge College, and the Citadel.  I am also a veteran that served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. I am married and have three children.  My goal is to use my knowledge to support, advocate, and empower South Carolina school counselors.
